Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder but with the Svorn Arcus Carabiner, you can have a thing of beauty that beholds other things, beautifully.
“Where ordinary becomes extraordinary… Just because we use something every day, doesn’t mean it should look everyday. A defining piece of art and function, the Arcus Carabiner blends the ferocity of sharp edges with smooth body lines. Attainable luxury through forward thinking that fuses beauty & sophistication with ideal form and use.”
This is the world’s most beautiful carabiner. That is a peculiar thing to say because a carabiner is just a metal loop made to hold things… A keychain implement.
“Just because we use something every day, doesn’t mean it should look everyday.” Wise words for we are an aesthetically valuing species. Svorn exists to make ordinary objects into the extraordinary.
They started with the Arcus, a marvelously unique carabiner that’s truly like no other.
It didn’t need to be encrusted with diamonds or made of precious metals to be the most handsome, pretty, elegant and sexy carabiner the world has ever seen.
Brilliant design and art took care of that utilizing a wonderful zinc alloy in a mesmerizing chrome noir finish. Making the Arcus reasonably and affordably priced.
So beautiful it can be worn as a necklace pendant or as a hood ornament of a luxury hovercar from the future.
It looks damn good but how does it function?
The Arcus is both sexy and smart. Although it’s not for climbing, it holds up to any other premium and rugged carabiner meant for everyday carry use.
It may look like jewelry but it’s satisfyingly solid in the hands and the spring-loaded gate works silky smooth.
The size is smaller than I expected which is perfect for on-your-person carry that won’t get in the way of daily and frequent use or even as an EDC workhorse.
“Chrome Noir” is the finish on these carabiners and it’s no marketing word, but it’s things like this that the phrase “pictures don’t do it justice” was coined. You have to see it live to understand the visual impact of it.
It’s not a coating but a part of the actual zinc alloy material. So it won’t chip or rub off in unsightly ways like paint, it will age and patina graciously like marble.
As dark as it is shiny, a physical black light.
Each Arcus comes with an optional split ring. Although this is made from steel (not zinc), they applied a coating identical to the carabiner. While this won’t age the same way, it looks and works flawlessly together.
As a vagabond, I don’t carry keys, ever. But if I did, they would without doubt be held in the luxuriously embracing loop of the Arcus Carabiner.
Due to their ideally compact size, sly ruggedness, asymmetrical shape and exotic good looks, I’ll be using them for a variety of my carry needs, with style.
The Arcus is a prime fusion of aesthetics and utility.
A defining piece of art and function, the Arcus Carabiner blends the ferocity of sharp edges with smooth body lines.

To my American readers: SVORN is offering free shipping to the USA for a limited time. Considering they’ll be shipping from Sweden, that’s a good deal.
Wow that is tight! Def on my buy list.
This is very interesting… zinc is an interesting choice of material, how is it compared to aluminum or titanium?
Hi @Specialist Zero, this is Panos the founder & CEO of SVØRN.
Regarding your questions: We couldn’t go with titanium nor steel because they are incredibly hard metals, and we would not able to create this curvy shape. Zinc on the other hand, offers incredible fluidity which helps with casting complex shapes.
About choosing zinc over aluminum. Two reasons:
One: Zinc has superior yield strength over aluminum. With that said, as Vinjabond mentioned in the review, the Arcus is not suitable for climbing.
Two: When we tried aluminum, it was incredibly light which made the whole presentation feel cheap when you were holding it.
Best,
Panos
