How I Became a Covert Operative
As I’ve said before, the term “covert operative” is an intentionally vague but accurate description of my former profession. So details must be limited.
I was recruited while I was still in school. Not for my academics but because I caught the attention of a certain law enforcement agency for “running games” against a certain criminal organization. Then the agency referred me to what would become my employer for the next 12 years.
After they heard my story, instead of charging me with felonies, I was offered a career.
