/// Black Cobra Toughbook CF-19
A fully rugged device that can be used as a laptop or swiveled into a tablet. It is tested to withstand a six-foot drop and IP65 certified fanless design providing water and dust resistance. The device also features a shock-mounted hard drive and full magnesium alloy case.
The Toughbook CF-19 is a 10-inch laptop that can be converted to a tablet. The specs as with any PC is highly customizable but what’s standard is its extreme build and ruggedness.
Designed for military, tactical, medical, construction and other professions that require hard-use and or use in hostile environments. It’s not a laptop for everyone but for those that do need it, it excels.
It’s a laptop that’s essentially “built like a tank” and not mass produced for the masses like every other personal computer. This gives it a rather high starting price of above $2000 when purchased brand new.
But I don’t ever recall a “new” Toughbook ever being used in the field during my time as an operative.
Laptops in general are notoriously the worst personal gadgets to purchase used. Which is ironic as Toughbooks are typically the contrary, that is if you get it professionally refurbished.
There are many reliable sources for refurbished Toughbooks but I prefer TechTough.
Each unit can be customized as needed with options not found with competitors such as; SSD hard drive, global GNSS GPS, 3 year warranty and an all black (factory-like quality) exterior.
These guys aren’t that big but they’ve got a long history with Toughbooks so there’s the added benefit of expert, intimate customer and technical support.
