A way of thinking to master the means of tactically or tactfully leaving any situational scenario or physical perimeter with dynamic observation.
By actively increasing the sensory input of the details with our 5 senses that can be useful in any given situation, it can help us instinctively calculate the best, safest, or most efficient decision… Including how to exit or escape.
Entering a city, stepping inside a building, accessing a room, passing through a corridor, riding a vehicle and interpersonally interacting are all a part of life that can be achieved more favorably with a strategy:
The Active Exit Strategizing Method.
All of these have one thing in common; they’re routine locational events where you’ll rather leave (exit) after completing an objective or you’ll have to escape (exit) from an undesirable / dangerous situation.
Forming a predefined plan on how to leave a physical location to another such as city limits or country borders is simply an “exit strategy”; public transportation routes, driving directions, traffic patterns, knowledge of roads and access ways, etc.
Those are exit plans that can be planned out well in advanced before arriving to the location in question.
An active exit strategy is devised on the fly as it’s purely situational and always chronological due to the progressive nature of routine locational events.
It’s More Exiting a Situation Than a Location //
-Close Perimeter Reconnaissance
-Getting Out of a Burning Building Safely
-Crossing a High Traffic Intersection Quickly
-Choosing The Best Routes While Evading Hostiles
-Escaping an Imminent Threat
-Avoiding Dangerous Streets / Paths / Obstacles
-Efficiently Navigating Extremely Busy Public Spaces
-Excusing Yourself From a Negative Social Encounter
-Precipitous Shortcuts
The Active Exit Strategizing Method is basically a way to leave a locational situation when and how you want due to necessity or desirability, instead of being trapped or forced to endure it. For life, work or travel.
At the most basic level, everyone does this subconsciously with a limited capacity to function.
Doing this actively and consciously will greatly increase the control you can have over exiting any situation or leaving any location because of the more discovered options of escape to do so…
…by keen observation and (situational) awareness.
Mind your surroundings. Feel your immediate vicinity more attentively. Pay attention to the details of what your 5 senses can pickup and figure out how it can work or be used to formulate an exit strategy.
We all do this anyways without even thinking about like a mere reaction, doing this while focused about it like an intelligent decision will produce a better plan.

Great topic… I suspect you’ll be doing a “how to” on this next? Much appreciated 🙂
