I’ve been planning and saving up to do what you do, travel the world indefinitely. I had an interesting thought since the world has only so many countries. What are you going to do after you travel to every country?

-Tommy F.

This crosses my mind whenever I prepare to leave my current country and decide my next destination.

Depending on who you ask and when it’s asked, there are 196 independent countries in the world. As of this writing, I’ve visited just 38 countries. That’s just a fifth since I started vagabonding two and a half years ago.

Traveling as my lifestyle, I have all the time in the world to experience it. I try to stay in a country for as long as possible, often extending my visa to stay longer – for all intents and purposes, I “live” wherever I visit. I also have a pattern of returning to countries multiple times.

So to answer this question, after I’ve traveled to every country in the world, I’ll party then continue vagabonding. Just another day at the office.

Great answer! I mean, as a traveler what else can you do after you travel to every country in the world but to travel some more?

38 countries in 2 and half years is a great pace. Good way to get the most out of travel.
