SPV /// HOW TO BE INVISIBLE

My girlfriend and I have been packing ultralight after finding your blog (thanks!) and so our North Face daypacks have become unnecessarily big and cumbersome for our day to day needs while traveling. Can you recommend a smaller and mobile alternative to traditional daypacks?

ANSWER ///

Yes. I’ve been using something called the ‘sportHolster‘ made by URBAN TOOL.

This bag is a mix between a wallet and a daypack but worn like an article of clothing. As you can see, the storage capacity is limited but maximizes mobility.

SportHolster the EDC Holster /// Vinjatek

I’ve used this holster pack almost every single day of my travels for over a year. It has become an indispensable part of my EDC carry system.

Being a holster, an actual daypack or even a full-sized backpack can comfortably fit over it for those times when you need that extra space.

The other option would be a fanny pack. It’s not exactly my style but you can’t deny the content accessibility and location efficiency of them.

What do you think about messenger bags as an alternative?

Fred @ Tortuga Backpacks

We’re working on an ideal and packable solution now. Hope to have it out this year. Stay tuned…
